TradersBonanza Up and Running!

Link to TradersBonanza.com
Hello fellow Orkonians. It has been since early January I made my last posting on this blog. If you have read my articles here then you will know that I indicated that there would be some changes coming.

Well, that time has come. I have not been sitting idle and doing nothing. I have been very busy working on my new privately hosted website. That I post this news now does not mean I am finished with the work but that I am now a little more satisfied with the progress I've made in getting all my articles in my new website.

It was a hell of a job and took me quite some time. Since I do everything by myself I have only time as a constraint. There is still lots of work to do but that can be done without to much bother to my new visitors.

So, if you see a website error, or some weird coded error message, that is just YeOldGoldNugget working and making the occasional mistake, from those I learn of course.

About the new website and about the old.

The old one, well, I just can't simply remove it from the web...so I won't. I spend too much time working on it to just plainly delete it or cast away like an old rag. So NO. That will not happen. The blog and content will remain the way it is now with this article as...for now at least the last post.

Sounds sad no? Well, it isn't and you should not feel like this is the end of the book but merely the end of a chapter.

Now we get to the good stuff is what you need to think!

Orko Silver, well, that will surely remain my favorite. So, under the section 'Market Analysis' I will continue writing as you have known from me for the last 7 months since I've put this blog online.

A lot has happened in those 7 months, I started with one blog and ended up maintaining and writing for three ;-)

Now, I have partnered up with my contact and friend who already was doing the gold and stocks blog.

All content from the three blogs has thus been exported to my new site. I still haven't had the time to go through every article and see if everything is showing alright but if you find some errors or bad html from the import then please do feel free to use my new contact form.

I have yet to write a privacy disclaimer but it should be obvious to everyone that I have taken every means to ensure ones privacy. So, don't let that fact discourage you :-)

So much to do still!

I would say, lets go take a look and see how I set everything up.

First you have to start by reading my new About Me. I've made some small changes but important you all read them. Transparency and all...

Another new thing is the categories for instance. This way I can better guide my readers to the stuff they want to read. I've also added a breadcrumb trail as a way of navigation.

The theme by hybrid is also improved and they have done a great job on this theme. Of course I've made several of my own adjustments but the basis is by hybrid.

Whats more...oh yeah...it is now possible for me to let other authors submit or write articles for my new website. I can assign users who can write articles in their own desired category.

So if anyone is interested in having their work published on my new website and they know a thing or two about the markets...then...please do drop me a line and maybe you can be my first new author.

There is still so much to do and I have so many plans so 2010 will be a year where YeOldGoldNugget starts up his new website. Like a stock and the stock market, get in while its low :-)

Hope to see you all there...

That leaves me to wish you all a very warm welcome there and may all the companies you're invested in find Bonanza-grade resources :-)

Best Wishes and on to a Bright New Year!

Our Tiny Precious little Blue Orb We call Earth! We are at the end and at the start of a year. At the end of the old and at the start of the new. True, it is but a mere number 2009, 2010....but it will have a different meaning to each and everyone of us.

Some will use it as a means of closure. In with the new, out with the old, like that sort off thing. Whatever works for you I say stick with it or improve on it. Why change a winning plan right? Why continue with a losing one?

There will even be some who view this event as our tiny blue orb having completed another orbit around our sun on that 365 day lasting journey. Some of my readers will now be enjoying the winter while others will be enjoying the summertime...all based on how far ahead our Earth is in its sidereal year and where we are on this hemisphere, Northern, Southern or somewhere in between.

Whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever you do, just make sure whatever you do is done with passion and compassion. Those who enjoy the work they do have the pleasure of referring to it as being a hobby instead of it merely being work.

To me, well, I like trading, I like the markets, I like the excitement, I even like the disappointments from time to time which are ideal to keep one on its toes and with that also still on the edge.

This year has been a very turbulent one for most investors and probably also for most of my readers in varying ways like with work, their financial portfolio, incurred losses, stock market, shares in the red,...I do hope however that one learns from ones mistakes and hopefully in future tries not to learn from ones mistakes but learns from other peoples mistakes. That is a big difference. Trust me!

Also, most of my regular readers will have noticed I have been busy working on the styling of the website. Some are minor styling details like the styling on my posted images, the rounded corners, minor styling in the widgets and some are bigger changes. The bigger changes include the header which was formerly 'Orko Silver Corp. Blog Spot' and has now changed to YeOldGoldNugget's Blog Spot. Also, my YeOldGoldNugget's Stock Picks blog has been restyled with the current style of this blog.

There will however be no change in me doing updates on Orko Silver Corp. but since I also on occasion post other charts like silver, gold, HUI index, other juniors,...and more the name in the header just was too limiting. That's not saying the current name isn't but at least it defines that this is my own blog ;-)

More to come soon will be a custom and self styled header. Work is now in progress and I expect this work to be finished somewhere by February. I am always looking at improving my blog and will continue doing so in the new year.

Seasons Greetings Bar Silver - 2009 Copyright Northwest Territorial MintSo with that behind me there still remains for me to wish everyone a very GOOOOD and VERY prosperous New Year!

To all the people I have had the pleasure of meeting on various places and through various means.

To all my contacts from Stock-house and other forums, thank you for your input, your conversations, your explanations, your comments and your personal views. Truly appreciated and a very warm and heartfelt thanks for that.

To the management, investor relation agents and personnel of Orko Silver Corp., Pan American Silver Corp., Orex Minerals Inc., Great Panther Resources, Impact Silver Corp., Mexivada Mining Corp., Arian Silver Corporation, and basically all other junior-mid-senior Explorers / Developers / Producers. May 2010 bring more shareholder and company value! May the veins be great, long and thick!

To all the other commodity authors, technical analysts, bloggers, financial writers, silverbugs, goldbugs, oil-diggers out there who zealously churn out daily updates on the markets. My hat off to you all!

And most important to all my readers from all the different places in the world! Thank you for your visits, thanks for sticking with me and for riding this Orko Silver Train of ours to production!

Gold Continues its Upward Move to 1350

Gold Spot Daily Chart
Gold Spot Daily Chart November 18, 2009

Marketclub - Gold Spot Trend Analysis.

OK. Here it goes :

Beginning October 2009 I did my buy gold now article. Gold was then still trading around 1010. Next days trade gold made a high of 1043....and continued going higher.

At the end of October 2009 I wrote G for gold and back with a vengeance article. Gold was at that time trading around 1040 and had just consolidated back to the second trendline. Next days trade gold made a high of 1066 and continued going higher.

Beginning of November 2009 I wrote my gold breaking out of upper trend channel article. Gold was at that time trading around 1096. Next days trade we hit a high of 1110 and continued going higher.

Gold Bar with Coins - BullionVault.comNow, I'm not trying to say that you can draw a trend line along YeOldGoldNugget but from time to time one has to contemplate and look back upon one's own writing. Is YeOldGoldNugget full of crap, just plain lucky,...or can YeOldGoldNugget follow Gold Nuggets?

Well, that is not for me to decide, I'd probably just go with the full of crap.

So,...what does YeOldGoldNugget think now? Hm? I'm probably way too bullish for my own good but I see 1200 being doable...short term. However, I have to say my short term judgment is a bit clouded by me having looked at the weekly chart. The daily I'd say,...bit of danger here. Well, to me, and to the trend line I've drawn, we are again reaching a crossing point. Will we break that trend line and continue heading further up or will gold do a short term pullback?

Hard to say. Fundamentally I'd say we go straight to 1200 and more, however the daily chart tells me gold is due for a small pull back. If you look at the daily chart you'll notice that gold does not stay for very long in the oversold zone, RSI wise then. So based on that, I'd say we could get a pullback in the very near term.

How far a pullback you say? Well, when we drop to trend line 2 then I'm looking at somewhere around 1084. This also coincides with the 30 Moving Average which together with the trend line can or will act as support.

Don't forget! When we are in a strong uptrend its always a rather dumb idea to be betting against the flow. Same as jumping in front of a moving Silver Train like Orko Silver Corp, thinking it will stop just because you expect it to or so desire it to. That Silver Train, like gold, has left the station. So, in gold's case you're thinking about going short gold then better make sure it's a quick trade cause else you're going to loose more than just your shirt.

Gold Spot Weekly Chart

Marketclub - Gold Spot Trend Analysis.

On to the weekly for direction and confirmation of our trend. Up or down? Stupid question I suppose...well...for the intellectually challenged maybe a solid question?

Time to get the neon signs back from under the dust again. One shows how YeOldGoldNugget feels about the weekly chart and the other gives a visual indication of the trend.
YeOldGoldNugget is VERY VERY VERY HAPPY with the Weekly ChartUp
What more does one need to know?

OK then, MACD looks good and is making higher and higher high's which is extremely bullish. Stochastics has been trading for a little over 2 months in oversold zone. As you can see from the chart, the last big rally got gold trading in oversold area for as much as 7 months! YOINKS!

RSI is not the best of indicators to use when looking at the weekly chart of gold, with that I mean, don't go opening a weekly chart, seeing gold in oversold at RSI and deciding to dump your shares or something like that :-)

Better is it to watch stochastics...when this goes to far towards 60 then I'd start contemplating about selling or taking profits. That is, if you're riding the waves like I am.

Surf's up!

So to round up :

Entering now, probably not THE best of idea's, better wait to see if gold will break this trend line. If in the next days you see gold moving up to 1150, 1155, 1160,...then its a fair bet that 1200 will be knocked down in the very same breath. Remember also that gold could be finishing the Head and Shoulders pattern which has a target of 1350

If you from now see gold opening lower, closing lower, lot of red candles, bit of sideways trading without making new higher grounds than the air is out of the balloon and we need a refill. You'll know and recognize it when it happens. This thus could indicate gold wanting to trade lower and possibly heading back to trend line 2.

Just wait and let the market come to you. Clearly the trend is up, but short term there could be danger ahead. Last thing, the dollar seems to be caving in under the enormous buying which has been going on in the gold market. A high gold price does not bode well for the dollar and looking at the weekly chart of gold and seeing where this could go...not a far stretch of the imagination to think what will happen with the dollar when gold is trading at 1350.
